Bapak sering kali menelpon, namun aku lebih sering tidak menjawab. Mungki aku tetap berpikir bahwa hanya ada intonasi tinggi dalam tiap nada suaranya di ujung sana, tapi jauh dari dalam hati, aku ingin meyakini jika ia sedang rindu. Aku anak perempuan satu-satunya ia miliki. Kini aku jauh darinya, sejak lima tahun lalu.

Sampai hari ini aku tidak pernah tahu apa impiannya ketika ia berada di usiaku. Bapakku seperti terbuat dari besi, sedikit sekali kata-kata dari mulutnya. Namun kata ibu, sekali ia pernah menangis menceritakan ia tidak bisa melanjutkan sekolah ke SMA.

Kini, ia hanya ingin aku segera mendapat kerja...
